Equipped with SHIMANO SHADOW RD+ technology, its adjustable chain stabilizer reduces chain slap and chain drops, providing a quieter and more secure drivetrain experience over rough surfaces. The ON/OFF stabilizer switch allows riders to adjust chain tension according to terrain conditions, while gravel-tuned clutch tension enhances shifting stability.
Designed for 11-speed drivetrains, the RD-RX817 supports synchronised shifting and is compatible with Shimano road DUAL CONTROL LEVERS and MTB cassettes with a 40T to 42T largest sprocket.
